Netley & Marsh is an Australian classic homewares brand specialising in premium crystal glassware with timeless design and subtle gold detailing. From their signature Affogato Sets and Fleur Wine Glasses through to Gold Rim Highball Tumblers and Irish Coffee Sets, every product is built around the idea that everyday moments deserve a touch of elegance.
With over 125 five-star reviews, a 4.98 star rating, features in USA News, and a growing wholesale channel alongside their direct to consumer store, Netley & Marsh needed a Shopify experience that matched the quality of the products and turned browsers into buyers at a meaningfully higher rate.
The glassware itself is genuinely beautiful, but the Shopify store was not doing it justice. Visitors landing on product pages could not get a sense of the quality, craftsmanship, or lifestyle the brand represented, which made it difficult to justify the price point and close the sale.
Traffic was coming in through social media and paid channels but the conversion rate told a different story. Visitors were not moving from product page to checkout at the rate the brand deserved, and the gap between sessions and sales was costing real money every month.
Netley & Marsh is built around a very specific idea: that everyday moments deserve something beautiful. That story was not translating online. The store felt transactional rather than aspirational, which made it harder to build the emotional connection that drives repeat purchases and word of mouth.
The brand had real ambition to sell internationally and grow a wholesale channel, but the existing store had no multi-currency setup, no dedicated wholesale enquiry pathway, and no structure to support those two very different types of buyer arriving on the same site.
We started by understanding the Netley & Marsh world: the aesthetic, the customer, the gifting angle, and the lifestyle positioning the brand was aiming for. From there we mapped out a Shopify store architecture that would serve both everyday browsers and wholesale buyers, while keeping the path to purchase as clean and compelling as possible for the core direct to consumer customer.
The new store was designed to lead with lifestyle rather than just product. Rich imagery, elegant typography, and a layout that told the brand story before asking for the sale. Product pages were restructured to showcase the quality of the craftsmanship, surface the five-star reviews prominently, and present the gifting opportunity clearly, all proven levers for lifting conversion in the premium homewares space.
We configured the full Shopify checkout experience for maximum conversion: Afterpay and Zip buy now pay later integration, Shop Pay optimisation, multi-currency support across 20 plus markets, and trust signals baked into every step of the purchase journey. A dedicated wholesale enquiry page was also built to capture trade buyers without disrupting the retail experience.
Every collection and product page was structured with organic search in mind from day one. Keyword-led page titles, optimised product descriptions that balance search intent with compelling copy, and a recipe and lifestyle content section to capture top of funnel traffic and build the kind of brand authority that compounds over time.
